Refund Policy

Effective Date: 1 January 2025

1. Purpose and Scope

This Refund Policy explains the limited circumstances in which Paymint will issue refunds for transactions. Due to the unique and irreversible nature of cryptocurrency, refunds are highly restricted and will only be granted in specific cases described below.

By using our services, you agree to the terms of this Refund Policy, which forms part of our Terms of Service.

2. Eligibility for Refunds

Refund requests must be made within 30 days of purchase. Refunds are only available where:

  • Service not delivered – the purchased cryptocurrency was not credited to the user’s Paymint wallet due to a verified error or failed transaction.
  • Partial service not delivered – in the event that a transaction only partially succeeds, the uncredited portion of the payment will be refunded in accordance with this Policy.

If cryptocurrency has already been fully credited to the user’s wallet, the transaction is final. No refunds will be issued. Users may withdraw their cryptocurrency in accordance with our withdrawal procedures.

EU Consumer Rights Exemption: Under European Union law, digital services normally include a 14-day cooling-off period. However, cryptocurrency transactions are exempt from this right once the digital asset has been credited, because such transactions are irreversible. By proceeding with a purchase, you expressly consent to the immediate execution of the transaction and acknowledge the loss of the statutory right of withdrawal once assets are credited.

3. Exclusions

Refunds will not be granted in the following circumstances:

  • Transactions that have been successfully credited to the user’s Paymint wallet.
  • Completed withdrawals, transfers, or trades executed by the user.
  • Requests based on cryptocurrency price fluctuations or market volatility.
  • Situations where the user changes their mind after purchase.
  • Custom or bespoke services (if introduced in the future).
  • Discounted or promotional services (not currently offered).

4. Subscriptions and Recurring Payments

Paymint does not currently provide subscription services. Refunds are not applicable to subscription-based products.

5. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, users must:

  1. Submit a written request to support@paymint.locker within 30 days of purchase.
  2. Include transaction details, proof of payment, and a description of the issue.
  3. Await confirmation and further instructions from the support team.

All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email.

6. Processing of Refunds

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7 business days, usually within 1–2 business days.
  • Refunds will only be made using the original payment method and currency (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Paysecure.net).
  • Refunds will not be issued in cryptocurrency.
  • Refund amounts will not reflect cryptocurrency price fluctuations and will be limited to the original fiat value of the transaction.
  • The maximum timeframe for processing a refund request is 30 business days.

7. Abuse, Fraud, and Compliance Restrictions

Paymint reserves the right to refuse or deny refund requests if abuse, fraud, money laundering, chargeback abuse, or other suspicious activity is suspected. This includes:

  • Multiple or repeated refund claims from the same user.
  • Exploitation of system or transaction errors.
  • Refund claims inconsistent with AML/CTF compliance obligations.

8. Force Majeure

Paymint shall not be liable to provide refunds where failures or delays are caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to external blockchain network failures, force majeure events, natural disasters, power outages, regulatory restrictions, or technical failures of third-party systems.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of Lithuania and applicable European Union regulations. In the event of any conflict between Lithuanian law and EU law, Lithuanian law shall prevail to the extent permitted. Any disputes arising under this Policy will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lithuania.
